About us
I'm Peter, the founder of Tranquillity.
My family and I have been pet owners all our lives, so we understand that a pet is never just a pet — they're a member of the family. Which means we understand, too, the particular sorrow of losing one.
When we said goodbye to our own family dog, she was sent miles away — there was no one nearby who could offer the personal, caring service we wanted for her.
Having lived in the Henley and Oxfordshire area for over twenty years, I set up Tranquillity because I wanted pet owners here to have somewhere they could trust: individual cremations, carried out with genuine respect and compassion.
We keep the service simple and unhurried, and you choose the final journey that's right for you and your pet. It matters enormously to us that this time is made as easy and as pain-free as possible — so we'll collect your pet from home or from your vet, whichever suits you best.
Above all, we want you to have the assurance that your pet is treated with care and dignity, and that the ashes returned to you are exclusively theirs.
